Katya: The Russian Diminutive of Yekaterina That Means "Pure"

As an anthropologist and dancer, I am interested in the interrelationship between bodies, cultural practices, politics and ethnographic writing. My research explores expressive culture of the African Diaspora with a focus on Brazil and Angola.
